Home Network Server
Home Network Server
The reasons you'd want to have a home network server would be to run a small home business from, if you had several computers in the house and you wanted to network them as well as run a home office for your work.
A home network server works the same way as any IT server for businesses in as much as it networks file storage, data streams and applications across a number of PC's.
When considering purchasing a network server for home or business, the shelf life is about 5 years for a medium user. 4 years for a light user. Anything over that and you can be flirting with potential disaster. If you know you have to replace your network server every so many years un front, this will influence your buying decisions.
Security and back up a just as important to the home user as the business user. Be sure to have good back up systems in place in case anything should go wrong. The older the server the more often you should consider to back up your data and files.
